S2S - Scattered 2 Serve

Welcome to S2S, Scattered 2 Serve, Luther Crest's Volunteer Club!
Whether you are an individual looking for opportunities to share your gifts and serve others a few hours each week as the hands and feet of Christ, OR if you are a church group that can grow together through a Group Volunteer Day - Luther Crest's Scattered 2 Serve Volunteer Club has several areas of interest. No matter what age or where you are at in life, we believe that everyone has a gift to share! Join S2S today!
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
He presented another parable to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR come and NEST IN ITS BRANCHES." Matthew 13:31-32
A mustard seed, although it is small, can grow to be quite large and when scattered, can be found over a very large area. As Christians, we are sent out, scattered to share the Good News of Christ and called to be disciples. So too, Luther Crest volunteers are scattered to serve others, both at Luther Crest and in congregations. Although we may seem small individually, many volunteers working together can become something monumental, making a huge difference, like a tiny seed becoming a tree.
Luther Crest is excited and proud to have a strong Volunteer Program built on the philosophy of Christian hospitality and grounded in the idea that many volunteers can make a huge difference and build great things.
Why volunteer? For many - volunteering at camp is among the most rewarding experiences available. We don't see volunteering as a one-way street. You share your time and know-how but you won't walk away empty handed. You'll get new skills and experience and you'll have a really good time along the way! We have a fantastic team of volunteers at Luther Crest, all of whom make a valuable contribution to our work here. Working with hospitality, landscaping/gardening, education and/or grounds/maintenance, volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds. Many have been with us for many years.
