Camp is not just for kids! This
great program takes place at our Luther Crest Alex site. Grades listed
for youth are for the grade TO
BE COMPLETED PRIOR to the summer.
Women's Week
at Luther Crest A special week for women
of the ELCA! Separate programming is
offered for children and grandchildren of all ages. Arrive Sunday
afternoon and stay through early-afternoon Thursday.
This year's morning
presenter is Michael Furchert, Christian speaker and concert pianist
from Berlin, Germany. He brings an inspiring message of hope
and faith. Michael comes from a Christian family that has lived
their faith throughout challenging times of European history. His
grandfather, a professing Christian under Hitler, his father a
pastor behind the Berlin Wall. Michael grew up under the
dictatorship of Communist East Germany. At the age of 17 he saw the
Wall come down. He challenges and inspires us to stand on God’s
promise to be more than conquerors, to overcome and be victorious in
our lives and faith. Michael’s warm-hearted approach is entwined
with beautiful piano compositions.
Cabins and Adult Retreat Center: Assignments to the Adult
Retreat Center will be made by request on a “first-registered”
basis, with preference to seniors and those with young children.
Please indicate your lodging preference and dietary needs on the
registration form. To ensure roommate requests, send in
registration materials together.
Babies (age 0-3) & Little People (4-years old-1st-grade):
Mothers & grand-mothers are responsible for their children in grade
1 and under, sleeping and eating with them, and spending free time
with them (child care is available during set times and with advance
notice). During sessions and at other times with advance notice,
Luther Crest provides a Day Camp experience for the 4-yr. olds
through 1st graders. You may be housed in a cabin or in a room in
the ARC with other mothers and children.
Mini Camp (2nd-5th gr.) & Junior Camp (6th-8th gr.):
Mini-campers and Junior Campers are housed in cabins with a
counselor from our summer staff, and are with their counselor and
campers of the same age for the entire week. Bible Study and
activities are similar to what we offer to our other overnight
summer youth programs.
