The Life of a College Intern |
Hi, I’m Phil
Lashinski. I’m an intern at Luther Crest Bible
Camp. This is my blog…
 |
Refreshed after a relaxing Easter
break, I am back at it! It was great to see my family and good
friends again! Even greater was remembering Jesus Christ’s victory
over death! For this is where we as Christians find our hope! We
can be assured that God’s love knows no bounds and that our sins
have been forgiven! Can I get an AMEN?? Hallelujah! Haha! I’ll
try not to trip as I step down from the pulpit! I get so excited
when I think of my new home Christ is preparing for me! I am sure
it will be much better than a make-shift apartment/health care
center.
Coming up on a month into my
internship! My, how the time has flown. This weekend we are
hosting a Creative Retreat full of fun scrapbooking, arts n’ crafts,
devotions, and worship! Also, on Saturday, there will be a
multi-synod youth gathering at Arrow Wood Resort. Karl and I are
going to lead a few sessions on what it’s like to be a Bible Camp
Counselor. I am pretty excited!
Here’s your song for the week:
In Christ Alone
By The Newsboys
In Christ alone my hope is
found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
God endured the worst sufferings
to show us the greatest Love! We serve a great and mighty God who
loves us! Happy Easter from Luther Crest! |
